THE REEL NEWS is a monthly Northwest regional publication written for the outdoor sport fishing enthusiasts, by outdoor sport fishing enthusiasts.
The first issue was printed in 1985 as a sport fishing club newsletter. In 1991 THE REEL NEWS became a regional tabloid and is widely distributed throughout the Northwestern US and into British Columbia.
Unlike other publications, THE REEL NEWS tackles the tough issues facing anglers and their sport. We feel that, rather than tell you where you should have been fishing yesterday, it's important to know why fishing has changed and who is making the calls – for and against us – in the bowels of the state capitols and on the national level.
Each month you'll learn about destination fishing, readers gripes, legislative reports, the inside-out of important issues, the Columbia River region, and find a little humor to flatten the water.
