J.D. Wade
J.D. calls himself a "professional sportsman", being a full time outdoor writer and photographer. He travels throughout the Western United States, Canada and Alaska in pursuit of hunting, fishing, camping boating stories and photo opportunities.
He is an active member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, and the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association, from which he has received numerous awards for a weekly newspaper column, freelance magazine pieces, and stories appearing in THE REEL NEWS.
In his spare time, J.D. has authored SHELLFISH GUIDE 2000 for Evergreen Pacific Publishing, and is serving a 2nd term on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Crab Advisory Group, representing the rights and needs of Puget Sound Recreational crab fishermen. He is also active in the Puget Sound Anglers organization and has instrumental in the formation of many chapters.
